AI fashion photo tools: what each plan really costs (2026)

Updated October 29, 2026. Prices change often: check each vendor’s page before you buy.
Disclosure. We make Uwear. Competitor facts come from their own pricing pages, read on October 29, 2026. We did not test competitors hands-on.
Quick answer
An AI fashion photo plan really costs its fee divided by the photos you actually make. Two things move that most: which features (4K, video, own models, seats, API) need a higher plan, and whether unused credits expire monthly. For brands shooting whole collections or a 40-piece drop, our pick is Uwear (we make it): no subscription, no feature tiers, and a 2K photo from 2 credits ($0.20) on GPT Image 2 (low) or 3 credits ($0.30) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), or 5 credits ($0.50) on Gemini 2.1, our default. A 40-piece drop with 3 photos each is 360 credits ($36) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low) or 600 credits ($60) on Gemini 2.1, and nothing to pay between drops. Start with 70 credits ($7); credits never expire.
Uwear at 2K, at $0.10 a credit: 2 credits ($0.20) on GPT Image 2 (low), 3 credits ($0.30) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 5 credits ($0.50) on Gemini 2.1, our default and quality pick, and 6 credits ($0.60) on GPT Image 2.5 (High). [2][3][1]
This page puts 17 AI fashion photo tools side by side on the three questions a pricing page rarely answers in one place: what the cheapest plan leaves out, what happens to credits you don’t use, and what a 2K photo really costs at the usage you actually have. Bracketed numbers point to the sources at the bottom, each read on October 29, 2026.
What each tool keeps behind a higher plan
Each cell names the lowest plan that includes the feature. “Every plan” means the cheapest paid plan has it. “Not published” means we found nothing on the vendor’s pricing page, help center or docs, or found pages that contradict each other.

Where a vendor contradicts itself, the table says not published. SCAYLE STUDIOS states both 2K and 4K downloads, and places custom models on both its Standard plan and Enterprise[50]. WeShop’s plan cards include its API on Pro, while its FAQ keeps the fashion endpoints (Try-On, AI Model) for Enterprise [42]. Botika’s homepage mentions 4K on every image, but its pricing page puts 4K on Advanced, which the table follows [8]. The New Black’s Starter card lists HD 4K, while its comparison table and API docs put 4K on Pro, which the table follows [30][31]. Claid’s pricing page says the API key comes with its Pro plan, while its API FAQ says you buy a dedicated API pack and need no paid web plan; the table follows the API page [23][24].
Pic Copilot is left out: it stopped taking payments from new users on September 27, 2026, and the service closes on December 7, 2026 [54].
Unused credits and buying without a subscription
A monthly allowance you don’t use is money spent on nothing, unless the credits carry over. Several tools also sell credits with no plan at all, so Uwear is not alone there.
| Tool | Unused credits | Buy without a subscription? |
|---|---|---|
| Uwear[1] | Never expire | Yes: from 70 credits ($7), $0.10 a credit |
| Botika[8][10] | Roll over with no cap while you stay subscribed; all of them are lost the day you cancel | Not published (top-up packs of up to 150 credits exist; Botika does not say whether they need a plan) |
| Photoroom[12][15] | Lost at the end of every monthly cycle, yearly billing included | No top-ups published in the app; the API is sold as monthly plans only |
| FASHN[18][19][20] | App: roll over up to 3× the monthly allowance; daily credits do not. API plan credits are lost each cycle | API: yes, on demand at $0.075 a credit ($7.50 minimum), valid 12 months. App: not published |
| Claid[23][24] | Not published for web plans | API: yes, $59 one time for 1,000 credits. Web app: not published |
| WearView[26] | Lite and Pro: lost monthly. Advanced: roll over and never expire | No (packs from $10 need an active Pro or Advanced plan) |
| Modelia[28][29] | Do not stack: at renewal the balance becomes the higher of what is left and 150. Everything is forfeited on cancel | No |
| The New Black[30] | Roll over while a plan is active, up to a bank cap (700 on Starter); banked credits stay yours after you cancel | Yes: packs from $10, limited to the basic Standard model without a plan |

Real cost per 2K photo at the usage you actually have
Product pages mostly ship at 2K, so this compares 2K photos on the cheapest plan that offers them, month to month and billed yearly, when you use all, half or a quarter of the plan.
Method: cost per photo = the plan’s price for the month ÷ (2K photos it allows × the share you use). Example: Photoroom Max, CA$48.99 ÷ (185 × 50%) = CA$0.53.
| Tool and plan | 2K photos the plan allows a month | 100% used | 50% used | 25% used | Unused credits |

- Currencies are as each vendor showed them, not converted. Photoroom displayed Canadian dollars (CA$) to our Canadian browser [11]. Photta shows your local currency; these are its US prices [38]. SCAYLE STUDIOS shows euros excl. VAT. The others show “$”: most state US dollars, Modelia charges the same number in USD or EUR, and Claid, The New Black, Caimera, Flair, WeShop and Pixelcut show the symbol with no currency code[28].
- For tools that roll credits over (Botika, Caimera, FASHN’s app, The New Black), the 50% and 25% columns are what you pay if the leftover credits are never spent: when you cancel, or when the balance hits its cap.
- Photoroom’s 185 is a ceiling that assumes every credit goes to 2K fashion images; backgrounds or video in the same month lower it [11]. The New Black, Caimera, WearView, Photta, Modelia and Pixelcut counts are credits divided by the published credit cost of one 2K image.
- Pixelcut lists Nano Banana 2 at 30 credits with 1K, 2K and 4K options, and does not say on its pricing page whether 2K costs more than 1K [44]. Flair publishes no output resolution, so its row is per generated image [35].
- Bigger plans lower the full-use price: FASHN app Pro $0.065 ($0.054 yearly), Caimera Pro $0.23 ($0.19), The New Black Pro $0.21 ($0.175), Pixelcut Business $0.25 ($0.20), Photta Seller $0.29 ($0.24), WearView Pro $0.74 ($0.62) and Photoroom Ultra CA$0.24 (CA$0.20)[19][32][30][44][38][26][11].
- Pay-per-image tools cost the same at any usage: FASHN’s API is $0.15 at 2K in Fast mode[20], SCAYLE STUDIOS €1.10 excl. VAT per image [50], Claid’s API about $0.12 an image at a resolution it does not state [24], and VModel’s try-on $0.12 with no published resolution [53].
Where others cost less per photo. If you will use every credit every month, several plans beat Uwear’s lowest 2K price, 2 credits ($0.20) on GPT Image 2 (low): Photoroom Max (about CA$0.13 billed yearly, roughly US$0.09 at 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, and about CA$0.265 month to month, roughly US$0.19) and Ultra (CA$0.20 to CA$0.24), FASHN’s app ($0.095 on Basic month to month, $0.079 billed yearly), Claid’s standard quality (about $0.07 to $0.12 an image, resolution not stated) and The New Black Starter billed yearly ($0.19). Caimera Mini billed yearly matches it. Against Gemini 2.1, our default at 5 credits ($0.50), most plans in the table cost less at full use. Uwear’s price does not move at 25% use, where a plan that loses unused credits costs four times its full-use figure. [11][19][23][30][32][2]
Is Uwear cheaper than Photoroom?
Below about 117 2K photos a month, yes. Uwear is cheaper than Photoroom Max month to month up to that count on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 3 credits ($0.30) a photo, and up to about 70 on Gemini 2.1, our default, 5 credits ($0.50). We convert Uwear's US-dollar prices at an assumed 1 USD = 1.40 CAD, a round figure for October 29, 2026, because Photoroom showed us Canadian dollars. Above those counts, up to Max's ceiling, Photoroom costs less per photo. [1][3][2][11]
What Photoroom keeps behind a higher plan
- Pro, CA$17.99 a month (CA$10.50 billed yearly): fashion model photos at 1K only, up to 1,600 a month, and no video.
- Max, CA$48.99 (CA$24.50): 2K up to 185 a month and video up to 50 generations. No 4K.
- Ultra, CA$135 (CA$113): 4K up to 310 a month and 2K up to 555; HD video is Ultra only.
- The counts are ceilings that assume every credit goes to that one feature; backgrounds or video from the same credits lower them. Visual QA is Enterprise only, and on the API, 2K and 4K are Enterprise only. Credits are lost every month, yearly billing included, and no top-ups are published. [11][13][15][16][12]
- On Uwear, every account gets 4K, video, the team workspace, the API and an automatic check of every photo, and credits never expire. [1][7][4]
Photoroom's real cost per photo, month to month and billed yearly
The plan price for the month divided by the photos it allows times the share you make. Because Photoroom credits do not roll over, the 50% and 25% columns are what a slow month really costs. [11][12]
| Plan and billing | Arithmetic | 100% used | 50% used | 25% used |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Max 2K, month to month | CA$48.99 ÷ 185 | CA$0.26 | CA$0.53 | CA$1.06 |
| Max 2K, billed yearly | CA$24.50 ÷ 185 | CA$0.13 | CA$0.26 | CA$0.53 |
| Ultra 2K, month to month | CA$135 ÷ 555 | CA$0.24 | CA$0.49 | CA$0.97 |
| Ultra 2K, billed yearly | CA$113 ÷ 555 | CA$0.20 | CA$0.41 | CA$0.81 |
| Ultra 4K, month to month | CA$135 ÷ 310 | CA$0.44 | CA$0.87 | CA$1.74 |
| Ultra 4K, billed yearly | CA$113 ÷ 310 | CA$0.36 | CA$0.73 | CA$1.46 |
| Uwear, any usage | 2K: 3 credits ($0.30, about CA$0.42) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 5 credits ($0.50, about CA$0.70) on Gemini 2.1. 4K: 6 credits ($0.60, about CA$0.84) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 10 credits ($1.00, about CA$1.40) on Gemini 2.1. | |||
How many photos a month before Photoroom costs less
Break-even is the plan price divided by Uwear's price per photo in CA$. Below that count, Uwear costs less; above it, the Photoroom plan does, up to its ceiling.
| Photoroom plan | Uwear cheaper below, GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 3 credits | Uwear cheaper below, Gemini 2.1, 5 credits | Photoroom 2K ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|
| Max, month to month (CA$48.99) | About 117 a month | About 70 a month | 185 |
| Max, billed yearly (CA$24.50) | About 58 a month | About 35 a month | 185 |
| Ultra, month to month (CA$135) | About 321 a month | About 193 a month | 555 |
| Ultra, billed yearly (CA$113) | About 269 a month | About 161 a month | 555 |
Photoroom Max at full use. A brand that makes 150 to 185 2K photos every month pays CA$0.13 to CA$0.16 a photo on Max billed yearly, less than any Uwear model at 2K, including GPT Image 2 (low) at 2 credits (about CA$0.28). Ultra at full use is also cheaper per 4K photo: CA$0.36 to CA$0.44, against 6 credits (about CA$0.84) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low). The yearly price is a 12-month commitment, though: CA$24.50 × 12 = CA$294 for Max and CA$113 × 12 = CA$1,356 for Ultra, whether you shoot or not. [11][2][3]
One drop season, priced on Uwear and on Photoroom
A brand launches a drop with 300 2K on-model photos in month one, then 50 a month for two months of restocks: 400 photos in the quarter.
- Uwear. 400 photos × 3 credits = 1,200 credits, $120 (about CA$168), on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), or 400 × 5 credits = 2,000 credits, $200 (about CA$280), on Gemini 2.1. Nothing is charged in a month with no new product, and leftover credits carry to the next drop.
- Photoroom. Max stops at 185 2K photos, so the launch month needs Ultra: 3 × CA$135 = CA$405 month to month for the quarter, about CA$1.01 a photo, or 3 × CA$113 = CA$339 billed yearly, inside a CA$1,356 year. Moving to a smaller plan after the launch month would lower that; check how Photoroom handles plan changes first.
Prices say nothing about image quality, so run the same garments through both before you decide. For brands moving off Photoroom, see the Photoroom alternatives for clothing brands.
Why monthly limits cost more than they look
Fashion work comes in drops, not even months. A brand shoots a 40-piece drop in March, nothing in April, a 200-piece season in August. A monthly plan is priced for the average month, and clothing brands rarely have one.
On Photoroom Max month to month, 185 2K photos in March and none in April or May costs 3 × CA$48.99 = CA$146.97 if you stay subscribed, about CA$0.79 a photo, three times the CA$0.26 the full-use math suggests. The credits from April and May are gone. A 300-photo drop doesn’t fit in Max at all: it caps at 185 2K images a month, so you either spread the drop over two months or move to Ultra (CA$135, up to 555). [11][12]
Rollover softens this, with conditions. Botika banks every unused credit, and loses all of them the day you cancel. FASHN’s app keeps up to 3× the monthly allowance. The New Black keeps credits up to a bank cap. Caimera keeps them while you stay subscribed. [10][19][30][33] On Uwear, a month with no new product costs nothing, and the credits you bought in March are still there in August. [1]
What to check before you subscribe
- Resolution on the plan you will buy. Photoroom Pro makes fashion images at 1K only, and Botika Pro at 2K. Flair, insMind and Pebblely don’t publish a pixel size. [11][8][35][47][49]
- Rollover, and what happens when you cancel. Botika and Caimera roll credits over only while you pay. Modelia forfeits everything on cancel and deletes your saved models and backgrounds. [10][33][29]
- Seats. WearView Lite and Modelia Creator are one person. Modelia’s 3 seats start at Atelier ($109), Flair’s team access at Pro+, Botika’s at Advanced. Caimera prices every seat. [26][28][36][8][32]
- API. FASHN, Claid and Pixelcut sell the API as a separate product with its own credits. Caimera puts it on Pro, Flair on Scale, and SCAYLE STUDIOS has announced one that is not live yet. [20][24][46][32][35][50]
- Parallel runs. A plan can cap how many photos render at once: Caimera 2, 4 or 6 by plan, FASHN’s app 3, 6 or 11, Photta 2 to 8, WeShop 16 or 48. [32][18][38][42]
- Commercial rights. Photoroom’s free accounts are for personal use only. Modelia’s free Starter carries no commercial rights. Flair’s company license starts at Pro+. [17][29][37]
- Watermark. Modelia’s Starter images keep a permanent watermark, Caimera’s free images carry one, and every SCAYLE STUDIOS image carries an invisible C2PA watermark you may not remove. [29][33][51]
- Whether failed results are charged. SCAYLE STUDIOS charges every attempt, and WeShop charges for imperfect images. WearView refunds failed images, and FASHN’s API doesn’t charge for failed predictions. [50][43][26][20]
Uwear’s offer, in plain facts
Uwear is our pick for brands shooting whole collections or a 40-piece drop. Your cast and art direction carry across every photo, each one is checked in seconds before it reaches you, and you pay only for what you make: no subscription, no plan tiers, no paid tier for parallel runs. Mid-market retailers in the UK, Europe and Latin America came to Uwear on their own.
Here is what you get, and where it is not the cheapest. A 40-piece drop with 3 photos each is 360 credits ($36) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low) or 600 credits ($60) on Gemini 2.1, and nothing to pay between drops.
- No subscription. You pay for what you use, no more, no less: $0.10 a credit. Start with 70 credits ($7); credits never expire. [1]
- No feature tiers. The smallest credit pack gets the same models, locations, 4K, video, team workspace, API and MCP as an enterprise account. [1][2][7]
- No concurrency tiers. Every account generates in parallel, at the same price per photo. [5]
- Every photo checked. Each photo is checked automatically during the run, in seconds, and the check costs no credits. It compares the photo with its product photo and records a pass or a fail with the reason. [4]

Frequently Asked Questions
Which AI fashion photo tools have no subscription?
At least seven do, as of October 29, 2026. Uwear sells credits from 70 credits ($7) at $0.10 a credit, and they never expire. SCAYLE STUDIOS charges €1.10 per image excl. VAT, with credits valid about 3 years, but every attempt is charged and custom backdrops, shared workspaces and its API are Enterprise only. VModel is a pay-per-call API from $10 with no fashion model library. FASHN’s API is sold on demand at $0.075 a credit, Claid’s API in one-time packs ($59 for 1,000 credits), The New Black in one-time packs that only open its basic 1K model without a plan, and insMind in one-time packs valid for 2 years. Photoroom, Pebblely, Flair, WeShop, WearView and Modelia require a subscription. Botika, Caimera, Photta and Pixelcut sell top-ups but don’t say whether a plan is needed. Uwear is our pick (we make it) because it pairs no subscription with every feature on every account.
Is Uwear cheaper than Photoroom?
Uwear is cheaper than Photoroom Max month to month below about 117 2K photos a month on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 3 credits ($0.30, about CA$0.42 at 1 USD = 1.40 CAD), and below about 70 on Gemini 2.1, Uwear’s default, 5 credits ($0.50, about CA$0.70). Against Max billed yearly the thresholds are about 58 and 35 a month, and the yearly plan is paid for 12 months whether you shoot or not. Above those counts, up to Max’s ceiling of 185 2K images, Photoroom costs less per photo: about CA$0.13 at full use billed yearly. Photoroom credits are lost every month and no top-ups are published, so at 25% use Max costs CA$1.06 an image month to month. Uwear also gives every account 4K, video and an automatic check of every photo; on Photoroom 4K needs Ultra (CA$135 a month) and Visual QA is Enterprise only. Photoroom prices were shown in Canadian dollars.
Photoroom alternatives for clothing brandsWhich AI fashion photo tools include 4K on the cheapest plan?
Uwear (every account), FASHN (Basic, $19 a month), WearView (Lite, $29), Caimera (Mini, $15 per user), Photta (Hobby, one extra credit per image), Modelia (Creator, $30, its cheapest paid plan) and Pixelcut (Pro, $10, on its Nano Banana models). 4K sits on a higher plan at Photoroom (Ultra), Botika (Advanced), Claid (Pro) and The New Black (Pro). Flair, insMind, Pebblely, WeShop, VModel and SCAYLE STUDIOS do not publish a consistent answer.
Do unused credits roll over on AI fashion photo tools?
On most, no. Unused credits are lost every month at Photoroom (yearly billing included), Pebblely, Flair, Pixelcut, insMind subscriptions, WearView Lite and Pro, and Photta monthly plans, and WeShop points are lost at the end of each cycle. They roll over while you stay subscribed at Botika (no cap, all lost the day you cancel), Caimera, FASHN’s app (up to 3× the monthly allowance), The New Black (up to a bank cap) and WearView Advanced. Modelia credits do not stack. Uwear and VModel credits never expire, SCAYLE STUDIOS credits last about 3 years and insMind one-time credits 2 years.
What does an AI model photo cost per image at 2K?
On the cheapest plan with 2K at each tool, between about $0.08 (FASHN app Basic billed yearly, if you use every credit) and $1.81 (WearView Lite month to month), and up to four times that if you use a quarter of the plan. Photoroom Max is CA$0.13 to CA$0.26 at full use. Pay-per-image prices stay the same at any usage: a 2K photo on Uwear is 2 credits ($0.20) on GPT Image 2 (low), 3 credits ($0.30) on GPT Image 2.5 (Low), 5 credits ($0.50) on Gemini 2.1, its default, and 6 credits ($0.60) on GPT Image 2.5 (High), at $0.10 a credit; FASHN’s API is $0.15 at 2K in Fast mode; SCAYLE STUDIOS is €1.10 excl. VAT. None of these per-photo prices includes retakes.
Which AI fashion photo tools check every photo automatically?
Uwear checks every photo automatically during the run, in seconds, and the check costs no credits. Photoroom’s Visual QA is Enterprise only. Botika offers human quality control on Enterprise, and Claid has people review results in its managed production service. SCAYLE STUDIOS offers a manual review workflow and says fully automatic generation without review is not yet available. WeShop charges for images that come out imperfect, Pixelcut charges even when a finished generation is blocked by moderation, and the other tools here publish no automatic check.
