New Video Models and Shopify Categories: What's New at Uwear
From August 10 through August 31, five updates changed how fashion teams organize garments, reuse multi-garment looks, sign in, work with connected assistants, and choose a video model. Here is what shipped and what changed.
What Shipped From August 10 Through August 31?
- -Four new video models and one replacement: Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, MiniMax H3 Max, and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 are new. Seedance 2.5 replaces the retired Seedance 2 and Seedance 2 Mini.
- -Shopify-aligned garment categories: new garments sort into your store's categories automatically, including Shopify's 13 upper-body categories. Existing garments stay filterable under "Previous categories" while a backfill runs.
- -Automatic outfits: a generation that uses several garments together saves that combination as a reusable outfit.
- -Microsoft sign-in: use Microsoft to sign in, or attach it to an existing account from Account → Sign-in.
- -Agent Mode backdrops: a connected assistant can apply a backdrop through the public Uwear MCP tools.

How Does Uwear Sort Garments Into Shopify Categories?
Upload a garment and Uwear classifies it into a Shopify-aligned category automatically, including one of Shopify's 13 upper-body categories when applicable. The category filters your garment library, search results, and outfit proposals. Existing garments remain readable and filterable under "Previous categories" while a backfill runs.
When Does Uwear Create an Outfit Automatically?
When one generation uses several garments together, Uwear saves that combination as an outfit. The outfit is then available to reuse without rebuilding the brief.
Can You Sign In to Uwear With Microsoft?
Yes. Microsoft is a new sign-in option. If you already have a Uwear account, attach Microsoft from Account → Sign-in.
Can Agent Mode Apply a Backdrop?
Yes. The public Uwear MCP tool list now includes apply_backdrop, so a connected assistant can generate and apply a backdrop without leaving the conversation. See the supported clients and setup steps on the Uwear MCP page.
