The alternatives
Six tools, the same five questions.
What each fits, what it accepts, whether it does video, whether it has an API, and what the first dollar buys. Uwear is listed first as our pick for clothing brands shooting full collections, and described from our own use; we make it. Every other row cites the vendor's published pages, each with the date it was read. Page last updated October 28, 2026.
Our pick for clothing brands shooting full collections on a consistent cast (we make it)
Our pick, and we make it. Where Modelia returns up to four images a generation and caps the cast by plan slots, Uwear runs the whole collection in one batch on as many saved models as your cast needs, with the team on one credit pool and no seat fee. Uwear has no Shopify app; images are downloaded or delivered through the API or MCP. Uwear is built around the collection run rather than the single image. Save each model in your cast once, and an art direction for the set, light and framing; every garment in a run reuses both. Batches go up to 10,000 images, and Automations start a run on their own when new clothing finishes processing or a watched tag is added. An optional AI reviewer, at no credit cost, compares each photo with its product photo and the saved model and writes the reason for each rejection; retries are opt-in and cost the same as a new photo. Back and detail views are camera edits of the approved photo, meaning the approved photo re-framed rather than generated again. A 2K photo is 5 credits, $0.50, on Gemini 2.1, the default model, with the estimate for the run shown before it starts and no subscription, so a drop costs what the drop costs. Runs start from Studio, the REST API, or ChatGPT, Claude and Codex through the Uwear MCP server. There is no fidelity guarantee: there is the check, the opt-in retry and the approval queue.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16]
Shopify sellers who want a general product toolbox with a Shopify integration
If Shopify is what kept you on Modelia, Photoroom is the other tool here that plugs into the store: its Shopify integration is included on Max and Ultra, alongside background removal, batch editing and listing tools for every product, not only clothing. The fashion model feature is capped by resolution. Pro allows 1,600 generations at 1K and none at 2K, Max 5,000 at 1K and 185 at 2K, and Ultra 555 at 2K and 310 at 4K. Visual QA is not included on the self-serve plans, so you check each result yourself.[17][18][19]
Small brands that want a Modelia-sized plan with teammates on one balance
The like-for-like move if Modelia’s seats are the limit. Pro at $49 a month ($490 a year) for 200 credits puts you and five teammates on one balance, and Advanced at $99 ($990 a year) for 500 adds fifteen teammates and credits that roll over with no limit. An image is 2 credits in HD, 3 at 2K and 5 at 4K; a video is 20 credits at 1080p and 40 at 4K, and video is not on Lite. API access is on request, and its pages document no review step.[20][21]
Brands that want people, not software, to fix each photo
Modelia leaves the pick to you; Botika puts a retouch team in the price. Pro is $46 a month billed yearly for 600 credits a year at 2K; yearly plans include human retouch rounds, two per photo on Pro. Advanced is $40 a month billed yearly for 1,000 credits at 4K, with three rounds. A photo is 1 credit and a video 5. Enterprise adds exclusive AI models, white-glove quality control and custom retouching briefs. The trade is control: there is no public API documentation.[22][23][24]
Developers who want fashion image, try-on and video endpoints priced per credit
Modelia’s API sits next to its Studio; at FASHN the API is the product. It brings FASHN’s image, try-on, editing and video tools into your own software at $0.075 a credit on demand, down to $0.0488 on the largest monthly tier. The app runs from $19 a month for 200 credits to $99 for 1,500 plus 100 a day, with images up to 4K and video at 720p on Basic and 1080p above. You build the pipeline, the cast and the checks around it.[25][26]
Teams building an image pipeline where clothing is one product type among many
If you are leaving Modelia to build the workflow yourself, Claid documents the parts: chained operations, batch image jobs, asynchronous processing with webhook callbacks, an image-checks stage, CMS and PIM connections, a 5,000-SKU example job, and default limits of 4 requests a second and 120 a minute. AI fashion models sit next to backgrounds, enhancement and image-to-video for any product. Web AI Fashion is 4 credits a generation and a 5-second video 35, the Pro web plan includes 2,000 credits a month, and self-serve API plans start at $59 for 1,000 credits.[27][28][29]
