Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy covers the Uwear Platform: Studio, API, and the MCP server, including virtual try-on delivered through the API.

The former Uwear mobile app is now Dailyfit, which has its own website and privacy policy. Sections below that reference the mobile app continue to apply to legacy Uwear app accounts and data.

1. Introduction

At Uwear.ai, operated by Logiciel Uwear.ai Inc., we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our AI-powered fashion visual production services on the Uwear Platform (Studio, API, and the MCP server). It also continues to apply to personal data collected through the former Uwear mobile app (now Dailyfit) for legacy accounts.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • • Name and email address
  • • Username (for mobile app users)
  • • Company information (if applicable)
  • • Billing information for purchases
  • • Communication preferences

Usage Information

We automatically collect:

  • • Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
  • • Device information
  • • Usage patterns and preferences
  • • API usage statistics
  • • Analytics data via Google Analytics

Content Data

Images and files you upload or generate through our Service, along with associated metadata. This includes garment and avatar images, prompts, generation settings, and generation results that you add or create through Studio, the API, or the MCP server. For mobile app users, this includes profile photographs with face data for personalized try-on experiences.

Data Handled Through the Uwear MCP Server

When you connect the Uwear MCP server, it receives only the tool-specific content that your MCP client sends for the action you request. This may include prompts and tool-call arguments, selected asset identifiers, garment or avatar images and files you upload, and tool results returned to the client. Uwear does not request your full conversation history.

We use this data to authenticate your account, perform the requested Uwear action, maintain short-lived session context, protect and troubleshoot the Service, and provide support. Your chosen MCP client provider handles the conversation before tool inputs reach Uwear and receives the requested tool results. That provider's own privacy and retention terms also apply.

You can disconnect Uwear in your MCP client settings, delete workspace assets, or request deletion or export of your account data using the controls described below.

3. How We Use Your Information

5. Retired: Uwear Try-On for Shopify

Uwear Try-On for Shopify (formerly OCTON) is being retired. Storefront try-on is now delivered through the Uwear API and is covered by the Platform sections of this policy.

For merchants who installed the Shopify app:

  • • We no longer onboard new merchants to the Shopify app
  • • Merchant data collected through the app (store information, product catalog data, API access tokens) is deleted as the app winds down, in line with Shopify's data requirements
  • • We continue to honor Shopify compliance webhooks (customer/redact, shop/redact, customer/data_request) during the wind-down
  • • Shopper profile photos and try-on images were never shared with merchants and remain governed by the mobile app sections of this policy

For questions about merchant data, contact support@uwear.ai.

6. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • • Encryption at rest for stored data
  • • Secure data centers with restricted access (AWS infrastructure)
  • • Regular security audits and updates
  • • Limited employee access on a need-to-know basis
  • • Token-based authentication for API access

Note: While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for different periods depending on the type:

  • • Account information: As long as your account is active
  • • Uploaded garment, avatar, and workspace assets: Until you delete the asset or your account
  • • Generated images: 90 days after generation (downloadable anytime within this period)
  • • MCP session context: Up to 24 hours after session activity
  • • Prompts and tool inputs saved with workspace records: Until you delete the related record or your account
  • • Profile photographs: Active while account is active (mobile app)
  • • Deleted accounts: 30-day archive period before permanent deletion
  • • MCP, API, and Service usage or security logs: 12 months
  • • Billing records: As required by law (typically 7 years)

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

We may share your information with:

  • • AWS (Amazon Web Services): For hosting and storage infrastructure
  • • AI model and media-processing providers: To process prompts and images and create the outputs you request
  • • MCP client providers: To return tool results to the AI workspace you chose, under that provider's own privacy terms
  • • RevenueCat: For payment processing and subscription management (mobile app)
  • • Facebook/Meta: For marketing measurement, including browser identifiers, conversion events and hashed account identifiers where configured
  • • OpenAI Ads: With your ad measurement permission, for completed ChatGPT connections and paid credit purchase events linked to an OpenAI ad click reference
  • • Google Ads and Rewardful: For advertising and referral measurement
  • • Google Analytics: For usage analytics and service improvement
  • • Payment processors: For transaction handling
  • • Law enforcement: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • • Business partners: Only with your explicit consent

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • • Access: Request a copy of your personal information
  • • Correct: Update inaccurate or incomplete data
  • • Delete: Request deletion of your data (account deletion)
  • • Export: Download your data in a portable format
  • • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • • Restrict: Limit how we process your data

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@uwear.ai

GDPR Rights (EEA): If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

CCPA Rights (California): California residents have specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt-out of sale (we don't sell data).

10. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • • Remember your preferences and login session
  • • Analyze usage patterns via Google Analytics
  • • Provide personalized experiences
  • • Prevent fraud and improve security

Advertising and Referral Measurement

Our website privacy banner lets you accept, decline or manage analytics cookies and advertising or referral measurement separately. Essential sign-in and privacy preference cookies stay available. You can reopen Privacy settings from the website footer or Studio. Declining OpenAI ad measurement does not prevent you from using Uwear or connecting it to ChatGPT.

Website advertising and referral tools include Meta Pixel, Google Ads and Rewardful. Analytics cookies support visit analysis through PostHog. Before you choose, Uwear counts page views and measures page speed without cookies and keeps nothing on your device; "Decline all" stops this. These identifiers are not necessarily anonymous. Each provider processes the information under its own privacy terms.

OpenAI Ad Measurement

With your permission, we keep the original OpenAI ad click reference in a first-party cookie shared by our website and Studio. We use it to link a completed ChatGPT account connection or a paid Uwear credit purchase to an ad. The reference expires after 30 days and is cleared when you decline measurement. We remember your privacy choice for up to 180 days. Visiting a page or approving an app connection alone does not give measurement permission.

OpenAI conversion events contain the ad reference, event identifier, event time, page path and event details. Purchases also include the amount and currency. We do not include your email, profile identifier, IP address, browser user agent, prompts, conversations or uploaded assets in this OpenAI integration. Events are marked to exclude future user-level personalization.

Changing your choice stops future frontend requests from attaching the OpenAI reference. A connection or checkout request already submitted carries the choice you made at submission; changing the browser setting cannot recall that request. Contact support@uwear.ai for requests about data already shared.

Provider privacy information: OpenAI, Meta, Google, PostHog and Rewardful.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age (mobile app) or 16 years of age (website). We do not knowingly collect information from children under these age limits.

If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately at support@uwear.ai and we will take steps to delete such information.

12. International Data Transfers

Our company is based in Canada (Quebec), and your data is processed in accordance with Canadian privacy laws. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including:

  • • United States (AWS infrastructure)
  • • Other countries where our service providers operate

We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for EEA residents.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service (including in-app notifications for mobile users). Your continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
