Great news for everyone exploring the power of AI in fashion! We're excited to announce that Drape1, our foundational AI model for virtual try-on, is back online at uwear.ai and is now completely free to use!

Many of you will remember Drape1 from its launch about a year ago (check out the original announcement here). It’s a unique AI model – an SDXL-based adapter – that generates on-model photographs from a single flat lay image of your clothing. What makes it special is its technical approach: Drape1 regenerates the entire photo from scratch, ensuring excellent overall coherence and composition in the final image, a distinct method compared to common finetuning or inpainting techniques.

Why Free, and What About Drape2?

We've been able to make Drape1 freely available thanks to the recent deployment of our first dedicated physical compute server! This boosts our capacity and efficiency, and we want to share these benefits by offering a fantastic entry point into our AI technology.

Now, it's important to be clear: since Drape1, we've developed Drape2, which is our current cutting-edge solution. Drape2 offers significantly higher accuracy and realism. We developed Drape2 precisely because while Drape1 is great for basic garments and incredible speed (it's still a champ, up to 60x faster than chatgpt), it can lack precision with very small details and embedded text on clothing.
